Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 619
DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
STREET LIGHTING - AMHURST NINTH ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Hans Hagen Homes requesting
installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the Amhurst Ninth
Addition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Amhurst Ninth Addition
by the installarion of residential ornamental street lighting, filed with
the City Council on September 4, 1984 is hereby declared to be signed by
the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This
declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035.
2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affect property owners and they
. have waived their rights to public improvement and special assessment
hearings.
3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed
to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in
a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as
to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some
other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
' Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils,
Schneider and Crain
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
