HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-562CITY'OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 20th day of Awgust , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen. Neils. Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 562 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR 1984 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of Section 18.271 M.S.A., the Weed Inspector of the City of Plymouth has caused the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within said City, and a determi"ation has been made that certain charges thereto have not been paid as provided by law, and the total amount of such work amounts to $3,222.73, and the incidental expenses incurred in said work amount to $805.74, so that the total amount is $4,028.47, and of this amount the City will pay $0.00 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 7F PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $4,028.47. . 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
