HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-558CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 20th day of August , 1984. The following me►bers were present: ayor Davenport, Councilmembers Noen. Neils. Schneider and Crain . The following members were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 558 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 231 6TH AVENUE/HUNPHREY ESTATES ADDITION WHERE/.S, a contract has been let for the improvement of: 6th Avenue from a point 696 ft. N.O.L. East of the centerline of Renium Lane to Pineviev Lane and Sycamore Lane and Sycamore Circle within the proposed Humphrey Estates Addition by the installation of sanitary sever and vatermain laterals, storm sever, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurte- nances, and the contract price for such improvement is $528,440.12 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $156,912.98, so the total cost of the improvement will be $685,353.10 and of this cost the City will pay $164,847.59 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $685,353.10. 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by lav, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by . Councilmember Moen , and upon vote beim taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof:-My—or Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain 7 The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
