HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-553CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on theday of Au ust 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, ouncilmembers Moen, —' Neils Schneider and Craim The following members were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 553 TERMINATING EXISTING JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF NEW JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR THE USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR FUNDING YEARS XI, XII, AND XIII WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and the County of Hennepin have in effect a Joint Co- operation Agreement (County Contract No. 10400) for the purposes of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program as approved by the City Council under Resolution No. 81-506; and, WHEREAS, the City and the County wish to terminate the Agreement and to execute a new Joint Cooperation Agreement (County Contract No. 40447); and, WHEREAS, execution of said Joint Cooperation Agreement is necessary for continued participation in the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program through the Urban Hennepin County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THf_ CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct the termination of the current Joint Cooperation Agreement between the City and the County of Hennepin (County Contract No. 10400) effective September 30, 1984; and, FURTHER, that the Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the new Joint Cooperation Agreement with the County of Hennepin (County Contract No. 40447) to be implemented effective October 1, 1984. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Moen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _ _ dor avenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none thereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
