HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-543CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 20thday of Auggst , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, The following members were absent: none *#* ,tlt,k �Irtkdlr Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84— 543 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR VICKSBURG LANE ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SECTIONS 20 AND 21 WHEREAS, a portion of Vicksburg Lane street right-of-way is no longer contemplated to be used for the public purposes for which they were orignally acquired; and WHEREAS, the land is now excess to City needs; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on August 20, 1984 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of August 20, 1984; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on August 20, 1984 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of a street right-of-way of Vicksburg Lane; and WHEREAS, it Was determined by the City Council that said excess right-ofway is not needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the following right-of-way of Vicksburg Lane be vacated: Vacating all that part of "Vicksburg Lane North" lying east of the following described line: Said line being parallel to, and 60 feet east of the west line of Section 21, Township 118, Range 22, and beginning 105 feet north of the south line of said Section and running south to its intersection with said south line, also Vacating all that part of "Vicksburg Lane North" lying west of the following described line: Said line being parallel to, and 60 feet west of the east line of Section 20, Township 118, Range 22, and beginning 105 feet north of the south line of said Section and running south to its intersection with said south line. The nation for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by uncilmember Crain ,,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
