HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-534q CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of August , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councimem ers oen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: none Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 534 PETITIONING THE COMMISSIONER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REQUESTING ESTABLISHMENT OF A PUBLIC STREET CROSSING AT NATHAN LANE AND THE SOO LINE RAILROAD NORTH OF 51ST AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has adopted a Comprehensive Thoroughfare Guide Plan; and WHEREAS, Nathan L;+ne between County Road 9 and County Road 10 is classified as a minor collector; and WHEREAS, in order to maintain the continuity of the Thoroughfare Guide Plan and assure the orderly development of the surrounding properties: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. That by this resolution they hereby petition the Comrissioner of the Department of Transportation requesting the establishment of a public street crossing at Nathan Lane and the Soo Line Railroad north of 51st Avenue. 2. That the petition be reviewed by the Department of Transportation staff and that a public hearing be scheduled to hear this request. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
