Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day
of Jul , 1984. The following members were present: ct ng Mayor
Schneider, Councimembers Neils and Crain
The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport and Councilmember Moen
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 496
DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
STREET LIGHTING - STEEPLECHASE
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Lundgren Bros. Construction, Inc.
requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the
Steeplechase Addition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Steeplechase Addition
by the installation of residential ornamental street lighting, filed with
the City Council on July 23, 1984, is hereby declared to be signed by the
required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declar-
ation is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035.
2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they
have waived their rights to public improvement and special assessment
hearings.
3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed
to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in
a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as
to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some
other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof:gcting Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Neils _
and Crain
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
