HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-493CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of Jul'. , 1984. The following members were present: Acting Mayor schneier ounce members Neils and Crain The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport, Councilmember Moen Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 493 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT 903 - NORTHEAST TRUNK SEWER WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Northeast Trunk Sewer, Project No. 903; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Alternate Bid Nodland Associates $138,535.50 - $ 3,750.00 Gammon Bros. 138,849.68 - 1,725.00 Northdale Construction 149,101.08 - 7,500.00 Crossings, Inc. 150,291.09 — U. D. Contracting 157,154.85 - 6,600.00 Barbarossa 6 Sons 170,391.80 - 15,000.00 Erwin Montgomery 172,798.00 — C. W. Houle 173,628.85 + 1,125.00 Hennen Construction 185,555.80 -- Burschville Construction 187,376.30 - 7,500.00 Lametti b Sons 203,000.00 - 7,500.00 Orvehahl Construction 209,610.00 - 11,250.00 G. L. Contracting 250,234.61 - 4,575.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Nodland Associates is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. Tho Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorised and directed to enter into the attached contract with Nodland Associates in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of the Northeast Trunk Sanitary Sewer, Project 9f., using the alternate bid of $134,785.50. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorised and directed to return forthwith to all Tidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by ' Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Schneider, Council eimnbers Neils and Crain • The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. �tlF�r �ni1F *Aht
