Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day
of, 1984. The following members were present: Acting Mayor
ScTe er, ouncilmembers Neils and Crain
The followine members were absent: Mavor Davenport and Councilmember en
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 488
ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED VACATION OF
A PORTION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR VICKSBURG LANE
ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SECTIONS 20 AND 21
WHEREAS, the following street right-of-way is no longer contemplated to be used
for the public purposes for which they were originally acquired; and
WHEREAS, the land is now excess to City needs; and
WHEREAS, the following is a descrsiption of the proposed vacation:
Vacating all that part of "Vicksburg Lane North" lying East of the
following described line: 6
Said line being parallel to, and 60 ft. East of the West lint of
Section 21, Township 118, Range 22 and beginning 105 ft. North of the
South line of said section and running South to its intersect with said
South line. Also
Vacating of all that part of "Vicksburg Lane North" lying West of the
following described line.
Said amine being parallel to, and 60 ft. West of the East line of
Section 20, Township 118, Range 22, and beginning 105 ft. North of the
South line of said section and running South to its intersect with said
South line.
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said proposed vacation and found
the same to be in order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH that it should, and hereby does, establish the date of August 28-, 1984
at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth
Bculevard, as the time and place for the public hearing on said petition and
directs the administrative staff to publish notice of said hearing as provided
by law.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly ueconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Neils
and Crain
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
