HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-461CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of July , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: Councilmember Moen Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 84- 461 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID 1984 STREET AND UTILITIES IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECTS N0. 337, 403, 412, 414 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1984 Street and Utility Improvement Projects as listed below: DeVries 2nd and 3rd Addition - Projects 337 and 414 Hadley Woods Addition - Project 403 Zachary Hills 3rd and 4th Additions - Projects 412 AND, WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on Thursday, June 28, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. CDST, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company CECA Utilities Burschville Construction Barbarossa 6 Sons G. L. Contracting Widmer Bros. Nodland Associates Northdale Construction W & G Rehbein S. J. Louis Construction Mueller Pipeliners Total Bid Alternate Bid $365,968.10 $2,829.00 (Deduct) 366,749.20 6,098.30 (Add) 387,163.75 5,396.00 (Add) 390,802.71 5,487.45 (Add) 392,286.30 3,796.00 (Add) 397,222.50 4,244.00 (Add) 397,763.79 4,341.00 (Add) 399,229.57 5,575.76 (Add) 408,223.50 1,733.00 (Add) 412,305.40 10,241.20 (Add) AND, WHEREAS, it appears that CECA Utilties is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with CECA Utilities in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of the 1984 Street and Utility Improvement Program in the amount of $363,139.10 which includes the alternate bid for the DeVries 2nd and 3rd Additions storm sewer. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Councilmember Grain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, ScbneideC and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon -the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. *A*
