HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-413CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a teigular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the -2nd " day of July 1984. The following members were present Mayor Cf;hngRA&v4- rn,anrilmPmhPrS Mnen and CI^d111 . _ .. _ .. . . . oWi»g members were absent: Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 413 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF 16TH AVENUE NORTH ADJACENT TO LOT 1, BLOCK 6, MINNEAPOLIS INDUSTRIAL PARR WHEREAS, a petition to vacate a portion of 16th Avenue North adjacent to Lot 1, Block 6, Minneapolis Industrial Park was received by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on July 2 1984 in accordance with the Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of July 2, 1984; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on July 2, 1984 to inform any and all interested parties relative to the vacation of said 16th Avenue North; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a portion of 16th Avenue !forth adjacent to Lot 1, Block 6, Minneapolis Industrial Park was not needed for any public street; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. That part of 16th Avenue (Old County Road 6), Minneapolis Industrial Park, according to the recorded plat thereof, lying northerly of the easterly prolongation to the east line of Section 27, of the most southerly line of Lot 1, Block 6, said Minneapolis Industrial Park is hereby vacated. 2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corpo- ration or municipality owning or controlling the electric or telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water lines, mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same or to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or otherwise attend thereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CouggilmPm4pr Mnqn and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted inavor thereof: Acting MUorSchneiders Councilmembers Moen and Crain • The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed ana adopted.
