Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and

RESOLUTION NO. 84- 393
•DECLARING FINDING OF NO POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS
BASED UPON REVIEW OF A PETITION FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHEET
DUNKIRK LANE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 408
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Environmental Quality Board rules, a petition
was submitted to the City of Plymouth by the Environmental Equality Board on
June 5, 1984; and
WHEREAS, it is determined that the ditch maintenance south of County Road 6
which the petition addresses is not a mandatory category for an Environmental
Assessment Worksheet; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with a letter dated June 12, 1984 form Short -Elliott -
Hendrickson, Inc., there is not a potential for significant environmental effects;
and
WHEREAS, this finding is made based upon the minor nature of the ditch mainte-
nance as proposed; and
WHEREAS, the trees and brush which require removal in order to provide an ade-
quate hydrolic capacity of the ditch will have no impact on noise levels as
currently experienced; and
WHEREAS, if the necessary maintenance is not undertaken, it will have a signifi-
cant and severe impact along the main drainage corridor north of County Road 6;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it hereby does determine that the ditch maintenance project does
not have a potential for significant environmental effects and, further, there is
no need for the preparation of an Environmental Assessment Worksheet.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Mo n , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
