HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-331Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 331 DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT STREET LIGHTING - GLEN ECHO PONDS ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Lyman Lumber Co. requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the Glen Echo Ponds Addition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Glen Echo Ponds Addition by the installation of residential ornamental street lighting, filed with the City Council on May 21, 1984, is hereby declared to be signed by the required percenttage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035. 2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have waived .heir rights to public improvement and special assessment hearings. 3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Counccilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: ,Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Moen, Neils. Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
