HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-259krCITY 'OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of May , 1984'. The following members were present: Wing Mayor SclmeldeT, Councilmembers Moen Neils and Crain The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport Co n ilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 259 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF JUNEAU LANE FROM 12TH AVENUE TO THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 11, BLOCK 2, SUBURBANDALE ON PARKERS LAKE ADDITION WHEREAS, the petition to vacate Juneau Lane as platted within Suburbandale on Parkers Lake Addition from the south line of 12th Avenue to the south line of Lot 11, Block 2, as extended easterly; and also the adjacent street and utility easement, was received by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on May 7, 1984 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks �-rior to the meeting of May 7, 1984; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on May 7, 1984 to inform any and all interested parties relative to the vacation of said Juneau Lane; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a portion of Juneau Lane south of 12th Avenue is not needed for a public street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. That the following portion of Juneau Lane be vacated as public roadway: Juneau Lane as platted within Suburbandale on Parkers Lake Addition from the south line of 12th Avenue to the south line of Lot 11, Block 2 as extended easterly; and also the adjacent street and utility easement. , 2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corpo- ration or municipality owning or controlling the electric or telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water pipes, mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or other- wise attend thereto. 3. That the City of Plymouth reserves easement rights for utility purposes over, under and across said vacated street. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the o owing voted in avor ereo :Acting Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Moen Neils and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
