Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of

Acting Mayor Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 257
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MAY AS ARBOR MONTH
IN PLYMOUTH AND MAY 23 AS ARBOR DAY FOR 1984
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth believes that trees are a vital necessity
within the community, and
WHEREAS, trees bring a beauty to the landscape of both private and
public land, and
WHEREAS, spring is the time when nature renews itself, and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota recognizes the month of May as Arbor Month,
40 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the month of May be established as Arbor Month
for this year and for all subsequent years and that May 23 be established
as Arbor Day for 1984.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded

Neils and Crain Acting Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Moen,

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
