Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the Ith

Acting Mayor Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved
is adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 256
MUNICIPAL CLERK'S WEEK, 1984
WHEREAS, the municipal clerk is the oldest of public servants and a critical
part of efficient and responsive local government; and
WHEREAS, the clerk provides a direct link between past, present, and future by
preserving records for posterity and implementing governmental decisions; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the outstanding and vital services performed by
municipal clerks and their dedication to public service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYNDUTH, MINNESOTA, that we, in conjunction with the Congress and President of
the United States, support the designation of the week beginning May 13, 1984 as
Municipal Clerk's Week in the City of Plymouth.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
