Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota wasss—held on the 23rd day of
April , 1984. The following membIrs were present:Mayor Davenport,
Councilmembers Win, Neils, Schmid& and Cra n The following members were
absent: none
Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84-253
ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
DUNKIRK LINE IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 408
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 84-165 of the City Council, adopted the 26th day of
March, 1984, fixed a date for a public hearing with respect to the improvement
of Dunkirk Lane from County Road 6 to County Road 24; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project includes the installation of sanitary sewer,
watermain, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, drain-
age ponds, drainage channels and all necessary appurtenances, and also adjacent
drainage and pond improvements; and
WHEREAS, ten days published notice of the hearing through two weekly publica-
tions of the required notice was given and the hearing was held thereon the 16th
day of April 1984, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council
Resolution adopted March 26, 1984.
2. Dunkirk Lane shall be constructed based on the engineers report
dated March 21, 1984, utilizing Alternate 1 for the storm sewer
Improvement between 18th Avenue and County Road 6.
3. Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc. is designated as engineer for
the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications
for the making of such improvement.
4. The cul-de-sac on 22nd Aveue is not to be constructed.
5. The road width south of 25th Avenue shall be 36 feet with a
trail along the east boulevard which varies in width from a
minimum of 5 feet to a maximum width of 8 feet. The boulevard
along the east side between the trail and the curb is to vary
from 0 feet to 4 feet. A maximum effort shall be made in the
design of the street/trail to save mature trees and substantial
groves of young trees by varying the trail and boulevard widths.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing ResOlui:ion was duly seconded by
Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, th
