Do following members were preaemt: r ilmembers oen: Nei is, '— Schneider and Crain FRIMS's were 2=7 none Councilmember Crain Introduced the following Resolution and moved its t om: RESOLUTION MO. 84-227 APPROVAL OF LAND USE GUIDE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested approval of an Amendment to the Land Use Guide Flan for the area located east of Harbor Lane, north of County Road 15 and south of the railroad tracks from LA -2 (low medium density residential) to LA -1 (low density residential); and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the request following a duly scheduled Public Hearing and has recommended approval; and, WHEREAS, this Amendment by the City is to assure that the Guide Plan and Zoning Classifications of land in the City are consistent, as required by State law and City Ordinance; •NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by the City of Plymouth for a Land Use Guide Plan Amendment subject to the following: The regulding is based upon findings that the proposed Classification is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan Criteria; provides an extension of the existing residential area; and, the proposal would not adversely impact the City's utility and transportation systems. Approval is contingent upon, and subject to the require► -i review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
