HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-214CITY OF PL"40M Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of _ April 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, ouncilmembers Moen, -e s, 5chnaider and Crain The following members were absent: none Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 214 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A "EMPLOYEE FLEXIBLE BENEFIT ACCOUNT PLAN" FOR GENERAL CITY EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain a wage and benefit structure necessary to recruit and maintain high quality individuals in city employment; and WHEREAS, the implementation of a "Employee Flexible Benefit Account Plan" represents an enhancement in the City's wage and supplemental benefit program; and WHEREAS, the proposed "Employee Flexible Benefit Account Plan" is designed to comply with the provisions of Suction 105, 125, and 129 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954; and WHEREAS, representatives of the City Attorney's office have reviewed the proposed plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does authorize the implementation of Employee Flexible Benefit Account Plan effective January 1, 1984 for general city employees (city employees not represented by a bargaining unit). The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by _ Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:Mavor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schpeiger and Crain e ToIlLowIng voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
