HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-212CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rPg0 ar meeting of, the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of A ri1 , 19 84 . The following members were present: favor Davenport, Counci members�Moen, eels, Schneider and Crain were absen none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84-212 APPOINTING A RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY AND ASSIGNING DUTIES WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 13.02, Subdivision 16, as amended, requires that the City of Plymouth appoint one person as the Responsible Authority to administer the requirments for collection, storage, use and dissemination of data on individuals, within the City; and WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council shares concern expressed by the legislature on the responsible use of all City data and wishes to satisfy this concern by Immediately appointing an administratively qualified Responsible Authority as required under the statute; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of Plymouth appoints Laurie Houk, City Clerk, as the Responsible Authority for the purposes of meeting all requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13, as amended, and with rules as lawfully promulgated by the Commissioner of Administration as published in the State Register. FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, the Responsible Authority shall formulate a policy establishing a City-wide procedure governing the release of information. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by _ Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Moen. Neils. Schneider and Crain he following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. ** *** ***
