HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-193Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd da of April , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor DavenpoTt, CounciTniembers Moen, Re -11s, Schneider and Crain Me following rs were sent: nnnp Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 193 APPROVAL OF LAND USE GUIDE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested approval of an Amendment to the Land Use Guide Plan for land located in the southeast quadrant of 10th Avenue and Southshore Drive from CS (service business) to LA -3 (high medium density residential); and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the request following a duly scheduled Public Hearing and has recommended approval; and, WHEREAS, this Amendment by the City is to assure that the Guide Plan and Zoning Classifications of land in the City are consistent, as required by State law and City Ordinance; •NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by the City of Plymouth for a Land Use Guide Plan Amendment subject to the following: The reguiding is based upon findings that the proposed Classification is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan Criteria; provides an extension of the existing residential area; and, the proposal would not adversely impact the City's utility and transportation systems. Approval is contingent upon, and subject to the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils and upon_vote being taken thereon, , T following vot n favor t reo :M,,yn__Qort.
