HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-158CITY OF PLYHWTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Hinnesota, was held on the 12th day of March . 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: none Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 158 A RESOLUTION DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY, RECONVEYING AND CONVEYING PORTIONS OF SAID PROPERTY AND APPROVING SALE OF SAME TO THE PLYMOUTH FUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority has initiated a Scattered Site Acquisition and Single Family Home Rehabilitation Program; and WHEREAS, the Authority is seeking surplus city held tax forfeit parcels for use in this program; and WHEREAS, the city staff has identified parcel 28-118-22-44-0002, a 2.17 acre parcel, which was conveyed to the City in 1980 for road right-of-way purposes as being suit- able for the scattered site program; and WHEREAS, after considering various factors the City Council has determined that this property is surplus to the City's needs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does resolve as follows: 1. Authorize the reconveyance of parcel 28-118-22-44-0002 to the State of Minnesota. 2. Direct the conveyance of those portions of the parcel required by the City for road right-of-way purposes. 3. Approve the sale of parcel 28-118-22-44-0002 by Hennepin County to the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority for use in implementing the Scattered Site Single Family Home Rehabilitation Program, subject to approval by the City Council following a neighborhood public informational meeting.
