Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a _5pecia�7 meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on t -Fe 27th day of February 1984.

Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its

RESOLUTION NO. 84- 119
RESOLUTION APPROV.NG REVISED JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
FOR THE MUNICIPAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 471.59 permits two or more governing units of the State
of Minnesota, by agreement of their governing bodies, to Jointly and cooperatively
exercise any power which any one of them can perform; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with statutory authorization, the City of Plymouth has chosen
to execute a joint powers agreement providing for the creation of a Municipal Legis-
lative Commission for the development of legislative programs on matters of mutual
. concern to the members of the organization; and
WHEREAS, on January 9, 1984 the City Council approved a Joint powers agreement for
the Municipal Legislative Commission by adoption of Resolution R4-52; and
WHEREAS, revisions in the original agreement have been proposed which improve the
document;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
Minnesota, that it should and hereby does authorize the Mayor and City Manager to
enter into a revised joint and cooperative agreement for the Municipal Legislative
Commission dated February 17, 1984.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
