HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-087CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reUular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of Februa r,. , 1984 . The following members were Present_ Mavor QyenDort. Cotjncilmemhers MDan. Nails and Srhnaidar Nf Ci.uncilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84 - 87 APPROVING THE RESERVES AND F"CUMBRANCES FOR THE YEAR 1983 WHEREAS, it is good accounting procedure to include reserves, encumbrances and transfers at year end as current year expenditures, and WHEREAS, these reserves, encumbrances and transfers represent contingent liabilities or purchases for which purchase orders have been issued or expenditures contemplated relative to the year 1983, and WHEREAS, the City has a legal responsibility to fund all known contingent liabilities, and WHEREAS, the reserves, encumbrances, and transfers totaled $305,048 as of December 31, 1983, and 10 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to act in a prudent and responsible manner, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the reserves, encumbrances and transfers in the amount of $305,048 is approved. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the 0 owing vote n avor ergo :Mayor Davenport, :ouncilmembers Moen.
