Councilmember Neils Introduced the followicq Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 78
DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
STREET LIGHTING - VICKSBURG LANE AND 27TH AVENUE
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from the Shenandoah Homeowners Association
requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting on Vicksburg
Lane at the entrance to the townhomes (27th Avenue);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of the intersection of
Vicksburg Lane and 27th Avenue by the installation of residential ornamental
• street lighting, filed with the City Council on February 6, 1984, is hereby
declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property
affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota
Statutes Section 429.035.
2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have
waived their rights to public improvement and special assesment hearings.
3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to
report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a
preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to
whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other
Improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
