HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-056CITY OF PLYMOHTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 9th day of January 1984, The following members were present: Mayor Davenpor�uurcilmemb eAS-rye-l-js, — Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: L,0UnCj1meubeF Moen tit ++. tit Councilmember Schneider introiuced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 56 RESOLUTION REVISING RESOLUTION NO. 83-493 BY CHANGING THE ACREAGE FOR ACOUISITION CONTEMPLATED 1N THE SEPTEMBER 12, 1983 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH AND HENNEPIN COUNTY PARK RESERVE DISTRICT WHEREAS, Resolution No. 83-493 approves a memorandum of agreement between the Hennepin County Park Reserve District and the City of Plymouth dated September 13, 1983; and WHEREAS, said agreement contemplates the acquisition of land by the City from the Park District at the cost of $11,000 per acre; and WHEREAS, further survey work has revealed that the actual parcel to be acquired by the City is 5.35 acres rather than the 4.2 acres stipulated in the aqreement and in Resolution 83-493; and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the 5.35 acre parcel �.ontinues to he in the best interests of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it should and hereby does authorize the acquisition of the 5.35 acre parcel at a cost of $11,000 per acre and that all costs associated with this acquisition are charged to the County Road 61 Construction Fund Project No. 205. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Davenport and upon vote being td en thereon the following vot n favor thereof: Mayor av nport, Gouncilmembers Neils, ' Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
