RESOLUTION NO. 83-650
RESOLUTION GIVING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL TO A DRAFT
TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1
AND AUTHORIZING ITS TRANSMISSION TO HENNEPIN COUNTY,
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 284; AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. t
WHEREAS, following a public hearing held December 15, 1980, the Council by Resolution
Mo. 80-886 established Development District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the Council authorized the preparation of a draft tax increment financing
plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council has received a memorandum from the City Manager dated November
18, 1983 forwarding a draft Tax Increment Financing Plan for Development District
No. 1; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the draft Tax Increment Financing Plan prepared for this City Council
pursuant to Resolution No. 80-886 and in accordance with the Minnesota Tax Increment
Financing Act, is hereby received and given preliminary approval subject to final
approval at a later date; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager be authorized and directed to transmit
the draft Tax Increment Financing Plan to the Board of Commissioners of Hennepin
County and Independent School District 284 for their review and consultation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council will conduct a public hearing on the
Tax Increment Financing Plan at 7:30 p.m., December 19, 1983 in accordance with the
provisions of the Minnesota Tax Increment Financing Act.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
