RESOLUTION NO. 83- 617
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ACCEPTING BID
PROJECT NO. 246
CARLSON PARKWAY AND CHESHIRE LANE WITHIN CARLSON CENTER 2ND ADDITION
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Inter -Municipal Road and Utility Improvements Agreement
between the City of Minnetonka and the City of Plymouth, the City of Minnetonka
has prepared the plans and specifications and received bids on the proposed
street and utility improvements for Carlson Parkway, Cheshire Lane and Twelve
Oaks Center Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City of Minnetonka has informed the City of Plymouth that bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following low bid was
submitted by Progressive Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $3,874,196.60; and
WHEREAS, the City of Minnetonka is requesting that the City of Plymouth concur
in the awarding of the bid to Progressive Contractors, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH:
1. Plans and specifications as prepared by Strgar-Roscoe, Inc., a copy of which
is attached hereto and made a part thereof, are hereby approved.
2. That the City of Plymouth concurs in the award of the contract for the project
to Progressive Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $3,874,196.60. Based upon
the contract documents, a portion of the contract which is within the City
of Plymouth is $853,624.00.
3. The City of Minnetonka is authorized to proceed with the awarding of the
contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Inter -Municipal
Road and Utility Improvements Agreement between the two cities dated June 28,
1983.
4. That this resolution shall not be effective until Carlson Properties, Inc.
signs the Development Contract for Carlson Center Second Addition.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
