HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-583of the City _. day .of abse none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adopt on RESOLUTION NO. 83- 583 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY 18TH AVENUE BETWEEN ZINNIA LANE AND I-494 WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate 18th Avenue between Zinnia Lane and 1-494; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on November 7, 1983 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of November 7, 1983; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on November 7, 1983 to inform any and all Interested parties relevant to the vacation of 18th Avenue between Zinnia Lane and 1-494; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a certain portion of 18th Avenue is not needed for a public street; 1. That the following portion of 18th Avenue be vacated as public road- ways That part of Center Street as dedicated in PARKER LAKE GARDENS, according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota and now known as 18th Avenue North lying easterly of the northerly extension of the west line of Lot 8, PARKERS LAKE GARDENS, according to the recorded plat thereof and westerly of a line 60.00 feet west- erly of the following described line; beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 6, said MINNEAPOLIS INDUSTRIAL PARK 2ND ADOI- TION; thence northerly along the west line of said Lot 1 a distance of 560.00 feet; thence northeasterly 143.18 feet along a tangential curve, concave to the east having a radius of 211.41 feet and a cen- tral angle of 38 degrees 48 minutes 20 seconds and said line there terminating. 2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corporation or municipality owning or controlling electric or tele- phone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water pipes, mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same or to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or otherwise attend thereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the rellowing voted in favor t ereo : Mayor Ddvenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, CehnciAnr anA Thnninan - wnereupon cne nesoiution was declared duly passed and adopted. tram rtrâ–º +r+t+r
