RESOLUTION NO. 83-493
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN HENNEPIN
COUNTY PARK RESERVE DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH

WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has an approved Comprehensive Trail System Plan,
and
WHEREAS, the City is currently constructing County Road 61 through the Medicine
Lake Regional Park between Highway 55 and County Road 9, and
WHEREAS, a portion of said road construction includes the development of a Class I
hike and bike trail, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and finds this trail in conformance with
the Comprehensive Trail System Plan, and
WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement between the Hennepin County Park Reserve
District and the City of Plymouth dated September 12, 1983, has been reviewed
and found to be in order by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of 4.2 acres of land by the City of Plymouth from the
Hennepin County Park Reserve District is also in the best interests of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the memorandum of agreement between the Hennepin County Park
Reserve District and the City of Plymouth dated September 12, 1983, is hereby
approved, and further, that the City Manager is authorized to enter into the
purchase of 4.2 acres of land from the Hennepin County Park Reserve District
at a cost of $11,000 per acre, and further, that all costs associated with this
acquisition and project are to be charged to the County Road 61 Construction
Fund Project No. 205.
