HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-455f.f Councilmember Moen Introduced the following Resolution and moved Its a opt on RESOLUTION NO. 83-455 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS PROJECT 202 WES1 RIDGE ESTATES FOURTH ADDITION WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the following improvement: 44th Avenue, 44th Place and Hemlock Lane,all within west Ridge Estates Fourth Addition by the installation of bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, sanitary sewer, watermaln, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances; 0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which Is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein Included Is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed Improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments, extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the Installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1984, and shall bear interest at the rate of 10.33% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this Resolution until December 31, 1994. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added Interest for one year on all unpaid Installments. L t t l�ution H1. 83-466 ` Pagc �2 3 The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certifica- tion of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Finance Director,. extGpt that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this Resolu- tion; and he may at any time thereafter pay the City Finance Director the entire aunt of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year In which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this Resolution is: Street, curb and gutter $ 75,765.69 Sanitary sewer 30,476.66 Watermain 451,617.09 Storm sewer 29,805.14 Total $1810664.58 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the rtne ollowing voted n favor the reoP:Maanport, Councilmembers Moen, Schneider god Brei nen ve.�...._.`.
