Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved

RESOLUTION NO. 83- 405
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY AT
2200 IVES LANE NORTH FOR INCLISION IN WEST MEDICINE LAYC CITY PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has a Comprenc.,_.'ve Park System Plan approved on
February 22, 1982, which calls for the expansion of West Medicine Lake City Park,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a concept plan for West Medicine Lake City
Park which includes all of the property located at 2200 Ives Lane and,
WHEREAS, the owner of the property at 2200 Ives Lane is willing to sell this property
to the City for park purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission has found this acquisition
consistent with the overall concept plan of West Medicine Lake City Park, and
WHEREAS, the City has acquired a Federal LAWCON matching grant for the acquisition
of property at 2200 Ives '_une, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this acquisition and finds it consistent
with the overall plans for West Medicine Lake City Park,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase the property
located at 2200 Ives Lane at a cost of $21,160.07, and further, that the financing
of this acquisition shall come from the Park Dedication Funds - City Parks,
Playfields and Trails Account and from the Federal LAWCON Matching Grant Program.
The notion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, t}y
