HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-301CITU OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was hold on—the 6TH day of June , 1983. The following members were BIIM a or Daven or ounc mem ers oen,-'Teils, Schneider and Threinen The following memoers were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83- 301 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 210 - WELL NO. 7 PUMP AND CONTROLS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisment for bids for the construction of the following improvement: Project No. 210 - Well No. 7 - Pump and Controls AND, WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractors Total Bid ABE Construction Co. $107,600 A & K Construction Co. 110,812 Northern Plumbing, Inc. 116,915 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that ABE Construction Co. is the lowest responsible bidder; AND, WHEREAS, the engineer has recommended the substitution of a Byron -Jackson pump and motor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter inti the attached contract with ABE Construction Co of Plymouth, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Project 210 in the amount of $110,750, which includes $3,150 for the substitution of the Byron - Jackson pump and motor. 2. The City Cle-k is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract The movion eforsIgiedadoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by ' Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted n favor ereo : Mayor Davenport, Councilmember Moen, Neils, Threinen The following voted against orabstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
