The following members were present: ayor Davenport, CCouncimem ers oen, Neils, Schneider and Threinen. The follow nnq�members were ansent: none rpt +�+�• Councilmember Schneider Introduced the following Resolution and moved its a t on: RESOLUTION NO. 83- 299 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID 1983 STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHLRE_AS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 1983 Street lmpruvement Program; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Valley Paving Hardrives Buffalo Bituminous H & S Asphalt Alexander Construction Nort>>west Asphalt Bury and Carlson Midwest Paving & Recycling Total Base Rid $22.1,156.75 224,916.41 226,754.50 22.7,039.30 228,652..50 232,335.30 2.339424.50 2.43,689.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Valley Paving in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of the 1983 Street Improvement Proqram in the amount of $221,156.75. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their hic?s, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall. be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by U ncilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the rollowing voted In favor t:Tereof:Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Threinen The following vot against or abstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
