HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-290CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a re ulaarr meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6TH da Y of dune , 1983. The following members were present: a or Davenport, CQuncilmem ers oen, Neils, Schneider and Threinen. The following members were absent: none #*f Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-290 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS PROJECT NO. 002-001 VICKSBURG LANE/WESTON LANE STORM SEWER WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the following improvement: Between Vicksburg Lane and Weston Lane alonq the common property line of Parcels 29-118-22-44-0001 and 29-118-22-44-0037 by the installation of storm sewer facilities and all necessary appurtenances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1984, and shall bear interest at the rate of 10.33, per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1984. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certifica- tion of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolu- tion; and he may at any time thereafter pay the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to' December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to he extenders on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over In the same mariner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this Resolution is: Storm Sewer $2,000.00 The motion for the adoption of the foregoinq Resolution was duly seconded by �ouncilmember Neils 'and upon vote beinq taken thereon the rollowing voted n Mor t ereof:mMor Davenport, Councilmembers goen, Neils, Schneider and Threinen The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
