The following members were present:Mayor Davenport. ouncilmemberT wo-en, ei s, — S�hngig.Cr_and hreinen The rottowi<ng members were absent: none *tt Councilmember Moen introduced the fol.lowinq Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-287 ENDORSING PETITION BY 7ACHM,AN HOMES, INCORPORATED, TO THE HFNNEPIN fO(JNTY Rn.ARP FOR ALTERATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARY BETWEEN SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. ?S1 AND SCHOOL DISTRICT 140. 284 IN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (A-814) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plymouth has approved the Final Plat for a residential subdivision known as "Fox Glen 3rd Addition" for 7achman Homes, Inc.: and, WHEREAS, Lots 14 - 24, inclusive of Block 1 of "Fox Glen 3rd Addition" are hisected by the section line of the south one-half of Section 15 and the north one-half of Section 2.2 which is also the current District boundary between Independent. School District No. 281 and Independent School District No. 284; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 122.21 of the Minnesota State Statutes, 7achman Homes, Inc., has submitted a petition to the Hennepin County Auditor for submittal to the Hen- nepin County Board regrcestinq that the boundary he adjusted so that all of "Fox Clen 3rd Addition" will he within Independent School District No. 281; arid, WHEREAS, construction of single family homes has commenced on lots within the "Fox Clen 3rd Addition"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HERE BY RESOLVED BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOOTH, MIN- NLSOTA, that it should and hereby does endorse the petition by 7achman Homes, Inc. to the Hennepin County Board for an adjustment of the District houndary between Indepen- dent School District, No. 281 and Independent School District No. 2.84 which would locate all of the "Fox Glen 3rd Addition" within Independent School District No. 281; F1IRTHER, this petition is supported by the CitJ Council of the Citv of Plvmouth to assure the development of a cohesive residercial neighborhood wherein children may attend schools within the same District; FLIRTHER, the City Council encourages expeditious consideration and approval of the pet- ition in consideration of the current construction of dwellings for occupanev in 1983.
