HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-281CITY OF PLIIMDM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, ar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on day of Ma 1983. The following members were present:Mavor DayenDOrt. ouncilMembers oen, e , .5choolger and Threinen e following wormers were absent: none Coucilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-281 RESOLUTION SETTING CONDITIONS FOR USE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PARK ,AND RIDE LOT LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST OIIADRANT OF HIGHWAY 55 AND COUNTY ROAD 73 WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has proposed the Improvement of a Park and Ride lot as identified in Layout No. 1 S.P. 2723-71 (55=188) at C.S.A.H. 73; dnd WHEREAS, said lot is required for the implementation of the Plymouth Transit demon- stration Program; and WHEREAS, all construction and maintenance of said lot will be undertaken by the Minnesota Department of Transportation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, approves construction of said lot subject to the following conditions: 1. Phase 1 improvements of the lot shall include, construction of a 40 stall parking lot with two handicap stalls and bus turnaround. Site improvements to include grubbing existing trees, grading the lot for drainage purposes; recon- struction of the drainage ditch on the north boundary of the lot, relocation of the signal control box, installation of parking lot delineators and Instal- lation and grading of 3" to 5" of Class 1 aggregate shouldering material. On- going maintenance of the lot to be provided by MnDOT. 2. If the lot is to be continued to be used following the 18 month demonstration program, MnDOT will be responsible for Phase 11 development of the lot to then existing Plymouth Zoning Ordinance standards, including bituminous surfacing, striping, curb and gutter, landscaping and the expansion of the lot if deemed appropriate by MnDOT and the City. All improvements to be approved by the City Council prior to initiation. Ongoinq maintenance to be provided by MnDOT. 3. If the lot is at any time abandoned as a Park and Ride lot, MnDOT shall be responsible for restoration of the lot.
