HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-273CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. a re ular meetino of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of May . 1983 . The following members were present:Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Moen. Niels. Schneider and Threinen The following members were absent: flune Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-273 AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE TON TRUCK WITH CREW CAB WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted for the purchase of a one ton truck in the Fire Department 1983 budget; and WHEREAS, such equipment is reouired to adequately provide {or the City's Public Safety; and WHEREAS, in accordance with State Statute, bid specifications were prepared and distributed and bid proposals received and opened on May 3, 1983; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: BIDDER AMOUNT GMC Truck and Coach $12,849.14 Superior Ford $12,292.00 WHEREAS, the bid of GMC Truck and Coach is in conformance with City specifica- tions for this equipment and GMC Truck and Coach is therefore declared the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH that it should and hereby does accept the proposal of GMC Truck and Coach in the amount of $12,849.14 and, further, that funds for this purchase are authorized from Account No. 101-163-921. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Moen 'and upon vote being taken thereon, the To owing voted n favor ereo :Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Threinen The foilowing voted against orabstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
