HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-272CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reqular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was hold on the 16th day of May , 19 83. The following members were present: Ma or Davenport, CouncilmemberF Moen, Neils, Schneider and Threinen . The following members were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-272 DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE TO ADJACENT PROPEPTY OWNER WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is proposing an improvement project on Xenium Lane and a ponding area alonq Plymouth Creek; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire additional right-of-way and easements from the property owners for the propject; and WHEREAS, one of these property owners is Wallace Cates and the City has reached an agreement with this property owner for the necessary easements and right-of-way; and WHEREAS, as part of this agreement the City would convey a portion of property to the property owner; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH that the following described property is declared surplus property and the Mayor is authorized to execute a quit claim deed conveying this property to Wallace H. Cates and Erica C. Cates: The North 100 feet of the East 670 feet of the West 700 feet of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 22, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, subject to a ponding easement over that portion of the above-described property lying Southeasterly of Plymouth Creek. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmembers Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in avor t ereo :Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Niels, Schneider and Threinen Whereupon Resolution was declared duly pass �.w r.y
