HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-271CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of IS the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of May , 19.aL. The following members were present:Ma or Davenport. The following members were absent: none Cou!tcilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and Wovid its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-271 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 244 - AMHURST 5TH ADDITION UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of utility and street improvements for Projects 244; WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Burchette Bros., Inc. Northdale Construction Co. Widmer Bros. N.B.H. Construction, Inc. Dawson Construction Co. 0 & P Contracting Co. T & S Excavating Co. Total Base Bid $57,269.50 57,349.00 59,324.00 63,227.50 65,810.00 66,311.35 69,)83.50 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Burchette Bros.,Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Burchette Bros., Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of the utility and streets improvements for Projects 244 in the amount of $57,269.50. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmemb r Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol lowing voted in favor ergo : Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils. Schneider and Threinen The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passea and adopted.
