HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-264Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a r ular meetinq of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the day of May 1%3. The following members were present: Minor Davenport—,ounc Tilmem__> S hneider and Threinen The following members were, sent: none Cowncilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-264 APPROVING REVISED MPUD SIGN PLAN FOR PRUDENTIAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA, FOR "NORTHWEST BUSINESS CAMPUS" (MPUD 81-1) (90062) WHEREAS, Prudential Life Insurance Company of America, has ,requested approval of a Revised MPUD Final Plan for "Northwest Business Campus" (MPUD 81-1) which proposes three additional project identification siqns; located generally in the northwest quadrant of the Highway 55 and Interstate 494 intersection; and, WHEREAS, the City Council under Resolution No. 81-846 approved a Final MPUD Plan for Prudential Insurance Company of America for the development known as "Northwest Business Campus"; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends its approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that It should and hereby does approve the request of Prudential Insurance Company of America for revision to the MPUD Final Plan for "Northwest Rusiness Campus" for three additional project identification signs located in the northeast quadrant of the Highway 55 and Interstate 494 intersection, subject to the following conditions: 1. Compliance with Resolution No. 81-846 and associated Development Contract for "Northwest Business Campus". 2. Any plantings located within the recorded easement and right-of-way areas shall be 30 inches or less in heiqht. 3. Should any improvements and/or repairs need to be made within the recorded easement and right-of-way areas, the plantinqs shall be removed by the City. Cost of replacing the plantinqs is the responsibility of the developer. An agreement, approved by the City Attorney, establishing these conditions shall be entered into by the petitioner and the City prior to iSSUdnCe of hulldinn permits for the three signs. 4. Approved project identification signage for "Northwest Business Campus" includes one existing 80 sq. ft. siqn located at Highway 55 and Northwest Boulevard, and three additional signs, each 16 sq. ft., located as identified in "Manual for Exterior Park Features", dated March, 1983. 0 PLEASE SEE SECOND PAGE Page two Resolution No. 83- 264 5. All street and traffic signs and street identification signs are the responsibility of the City of Plymouth. This approval does riot apply to any of this type of signage. 6. No signs shall be located within street right-of-way or easement areas. 7. The three additional identification signs shall riot be illuminated.
