Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a SDecial meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held -on- the
11th day of April , 19 81 . The following members

Cg„ncilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 83-197
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF 19 ACRES OF
LAND LOCATED AT 5415 PINEVIEW LANE WHICH WILL BE USED
FOR A FUTURE PLAYFIELD SITE
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has an approved Comprehensive Park System
Plan which was adopted by the City Council on February 22, 1982, and
WHEREAS, said plan calls for the acquisition and development of a playfield
immediately west of 5415 Pineview Lane, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property wishes to sell his property for a park
at this time, and
. WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission has reviewed and recommended
the acquisition of said community playfield site, and
WHEREAS, the current Capital Improvement Program contains funds for the
acquisition of said playfield site, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and finds this acquisition in conformance
with the overall Park System Plan and current Capital Improvement Program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to enter
into a contract for deed with Robert M. Gomsrud at a sale price of $130,000
on a contract for deed at 7% interest, and, further, that funds are to be
set aside from the City Park, Playfield and Trails Account (218-218-909)
for this acquisition.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
