Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, ameeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held onist day of March 1983.

Threiner introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 83-141
ALLOCATING UP TO $1,000 FROM ACCOUNT NO. 101-190-899
TO CONDUCT CERTAIN TESTING AND COMPUTER MODELING ON
THE PLYMOUTH WELLFIELD
WHEREAS, on the basis of preliminary data, Bruce A Liesch and Associates has deter-
mined t+lat there is substantial variance In the soil composition of the proposed
hazardous waste site in the City; and
WHEREAS, high porosity of soils in this area could mean a faster leeching of hazard-
ous waste materials through the soil in the event of a spill; and
WHEREAS, the City wellfield is within the site and there Is insufficient data avail-
able at this time to determine the "area of influence" of the wellfield; and
WHEREAS, Bruce A. Liesch and Associates has submitted a proposal to conduct the
necessary field work analysis and computer modeling to prepare such information;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
that it should and hereby does authorize the expenditure of up to $1,000 from account
no. 101-190-899 for the preparation of the above described data in conformance with
the Bruce A. Liesch and Associates written proposal dated March 17, 1983.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
