RESOLUTION NO. 83- 132
ADOPTING ASSESSMENT
1982 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION - ROLL NUMPER 2
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council
has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for
the removal and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within the City of
Plymouth as provided by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THF CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such proposed assessment, as amended, a copy of which is attached hereto and
and made a part hereof, Is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special
assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land herein
Included is hereby bound to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the
amount of the assessment levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable In equal annual installments extending over
a period of one year, the first of the Installments to be payable on or
before the first Monday in January 1984 and shall bear interest. at the rate
of 10.33% per annum from the date of adoption of this assessment resolu-
tion. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1984. To
each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest of one year on
all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certifica-
tion of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the
assessment on such property with Interest accrued to the date of payment to
the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire
assessment is paid within thirty days from the adoption of this resolution;
and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Director the
entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to
December 31 of the year in which the payment is made.
4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment
to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the
County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same
manner as other municipal taxes.
5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution is $5,771.11.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly aeoonded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
