HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-099CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of 1983. The following members were presents—lWyor Davenport, ounc Le ers Moen, Neils, Schneider b Threinen . The following members were sent: None Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-99 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR 1982 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES - ROLL NO. 2 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of Section 18.271 M.S.A., the Weed Inspector of the City of Plymouth has caused the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within said City, and a determination has been made that certain charges thereto have not been paid as provided by law, and the total amount of such work amounts to $4,734.36, and the incidental expenses incurred in said work amount to $1,183.63, so that the total amount is $5,917.99, and of this amount the City will pay $0.00 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $5,917.99. 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer and Weed Inspector, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Muen , and upon vote being taken thereon the following vot n favor t ereo : Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Threined— Th—e-7ollowing voted against or abstained: one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. w�-r •}� w�
