Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, - nnesota was held on the

Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and
MOM its adoption:
Resolution No. 83 - 90
Approving the Reserves and Encumbrances for the Year 1982
WHEREAS, it is good accounting procedure to include outstanding encumbrances
at year end as current year expenditures, and
WHEREAS, these reserves and encumbrances represent contingent liabilities
or purchases for which purchase orders have been issued or contemplated being
issued relative to the 1982 budget, and
WHEREAS, the City has a legal responsibility to fund all known encumbrances
and contingent liabilities, and
WHEREAS, the reserves and encumbrances totaled $991,661 as of December 31, 1982, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to act in a prudent and responsible manner,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
that the reserves and encumbrances in the amount of $991,661 is approved.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
