HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1983-059Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83-59 RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT PROJECT WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT 284 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING LOT AT OAKWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has developed and operates a playfield at Oakwood Elementary School, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that a shortage of parking facilities currently exists at the Oakwood Playfield, and WHEREAS, the current City of Plymouth Capital Improvement Program allocates $50,000 for the expansion of parking facilities at the Oakwood Playfield, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a joint powers agreement with School District 284 for the development of expanded parking facilities at Oakwood Playfield at a cost not to exceed $50,000, and further, that the Director of Finance is authorized to transfer $50,000 from the Park Dedication Funds, City Parks, Playfields and Trails account to fund this project. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by r Threinen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote n favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, _SGhligidgr and Threi nen ine m iowing votes against or aGstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
