RESOLUTION NO. 83- 1
A RESOLUTION COMMS,'•'nTNG THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF EDWARD L'HERAULT
TO THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH UPON HIS RETIREMENT
AFTER THIRTY-THREE YEARS OF SERVICE WITH THE POST PUBLISHING COMPANY
WHEREAS, following thirty-three years of service to the Post Publishing Company,
Edward C. L'Herault retired on December 29, 1982 as President of the Post Publishing
Company; and
WHEREAS, under his tutelage the Post Publishing Company grew in 1950 from a firm with
two tat old size papers with a 15,000 weekly circulation to a major publishing
interest with 5 newspapers and 4 shopping guides with a weekly circulation of 235,000
In 1982; and
WHEREAS, under his guidance Post newspapers have responsively provided news and com-
mentary on important community events and activities; and
WHEREAS, in so doing, has been instrumental in establishing a sense of history and
community for residents of the northwest metropolitan area suburbs, and our city of
Plymouth in particular;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth
that it should and hereby does record their admiration, their sense of gratitude and
respect for the many contributions made to the progress of the City of Plymouth by
Edward C. L'Herault through his untiring efforts as President of the Post Publishing
Company.
The notion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
