Threinen The following members were absent: none o ncilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved s adoption: - RESOLUTION NO. 82- 569 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS PROJECT 240 34TH AVENUE WATER TPUNK WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required Ey law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of previously constructed watermain trunk facilities and necessary appurtenances. Such proposed assessment,/a copy.of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. Resolution No. 82-569 Page 2 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1984, and shall bear interest at the rate of 10.33% per annum from September 1, 1983. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from September 1, 1983 until Decem- ber 31, 1984. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to the certifi- cation of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may at any time thereafter pay the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution is: Water Area $5,700.00 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Cg nc'jmaapfgr Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Nails- Scbneidgr d Threinen he following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
