Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rgflular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 20th day of September 1982.
The following members were present:Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Poen, REM,
Sghgider and Threlnen`
The following members were sent: none
CoWncilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its
option:
RESOLUTION NO. 82- 517-A
AUTHORIZING THE ASSIGNMENT OF TWO POLICE OFFICERS FOR SPECIAL SERVICLS
AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $5,000
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has met with homeowners in the vicinity of
Suburbandale by Parker's Lake; and
WHEREAS, the residents of that area have experienced serious public safety problems
including disturbing the peace, public drunkenness, traffic violations and other such
offenses related to a specific household in that neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to place a check on such breaches of the peace; and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Director has suggested alternative methods for dealinq
with this problem;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth
that it should and hereby does authorize the appropriation of up to $5,000 from
Account 101-190-899, Reserve for Contingency to assist the Director of Public Safety
to carry out a program to deal with the problems which have heretofore been
identified.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Cowncilmember Threinen ,and upon vote being taken thereon, tie
following voted in favor thereof: _MayorDavenport,_ Councilmembers Moen, Neils.
